Himachal Pradesh Forest Ecosystems Climate Proofing Project, India. (2016-2019)

Brief: To prepare a manual and procurement plan for improved nursery management practices.

Solution: Arbos created a tree nursery development plan, including cost norms, in line with the tree seedling requirements of the Project and HPFD routine plantation operations.
We developed guidelines for procurement of quality seeds, seed collection plans and stratification of seeds.

Arbos delivered education of trainers on improved nursery management practices as well as introduced modern nursery production methods on a pilot base.
Rehabilitation of Degraded Landscapes, Georgia. (2011-2015)

Brief: To start-up a new forest nursery and implement new seed processing technology.

Solution: Arbos designed and provided training courses and workshops aimed for the nursery
staff. The training provided specialised in seed processing, containerized nursery production and the improvement of present nursery technology.

A concept of Best Management Practice Guidelines for seed collection and high quality seedling production was also developed to maintain the quality of seed production.

Qinghai, China (2002-2008)

AusAID Qinghai Forestry Resources Management Project
Brief:
To provide technical advice to the Qinghai Forestry Bureau for the design of a provincial tree seed-training center, containerized nurseries and improvement of
up to date nursery technology.

Solution: Arbos designed and provided training courses and workshops to Qinghai Forestry Bureau, County Forestry Bureau personnel and private nursery staff in seed processing, containerized nursery production and improvement of current nursery technology.
